Accreditation

Three students are engaged in a discussion around a table in a modern study space. One student with green hair is speaking while holding a pencil, and the other two are listening attentively. A laptop is open in front of them along with a book. The setting features large windows, contemporary furniture, and a bright atmosphere.

Institutional Accreditation

杏吧原创 is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)*.

We conducted a self-study from 2021 to 2023 using a Standards-Based Approach, addressing all for our reaffirmation of accreditation as part of our ten-year cycle. Going forward, 杏吧原创 will align with the MSCHE eight-year cycle with the next reaffirmation of accreditation scheduled for AY 2030-2031. Dr. Caroline Kobek Pezzarossi is the Special Assistant to the Provost for Curriculum, Outreach, and Resources and also serves as the University鈥檚 Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO). Our Accreditations and Program Approvals

Many of the academic programs at 杏吧原创 are accredited or approved by discipline-specific accreditation agencies and associations. Also, those non-accredited academic programs hold rigorous expectations in their outcomes that are approved through our University Council on Education.

MSCHE Self-Study Timeline, 2020-2023

Since 1957, 杏吧原创 has been a proud part of MSCHE. We work closely with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), and our work with them is a way to make sure that 杏吧原创 is accredited.

Every eight years, we engage in MSCHE Self-Study and are reviewed by peer evaluators during a culminating site visit. This two-year accreditation process involves dozens of staff, faculty, and students; motivated by the fundamental desire to ensure that best practices in higher education drive our Gallaudet experience.
